Gunite
Gunite is a pool construction method that sprays a dry mix of sand + cement through a nozzle where water is added at the point of application, producing a high-strength shell that can be shaped to any custom design.
Also worth knowing
Shotcrete is the wet-mix equivalent; both are commonly (and imprecisely) called 'gunite pools' in the residential market. Actual gunite is the dry-mix process; most modern pool 'gunite' is technically shotcrete.
